    Ramiya Sivanathan, M.Sc.

    Biography

    Mrs. Ramiya Sivanathan is a passionate and experienced nursing professional with a master’s degree in child health nursing from Pondicherry University, India. With over 8 years of clinical and academic experience across India and the Caribbean, she has developed a robust skill set in pediatric, neonatal, and general nursing care. Her career spans roles such as Nursing Supervisor at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, and Registered Nurse & Midwife at the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences.

    Currently residing in Grenada, West Indies, Mrs. Ramiya contributes to nursing education as a Volunteer Nurse Educator at the School of Nursing, St. George’s University. She is actively involved in both clinical mentorship and academic instruction and has contributed to research projects focused on maternal and child health, including studies on breastfeeding practices and educational interventions for mothers.

    Her professional development includes certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Neonatal Cardiac Resuscitation. She has presented posters at international nursing conferences and remains committed to evidence-based practice, compassionate patient care, and continuous quality improvement. Mrs. Ramiya’s research interests align with public health nursing, maternal-child healthcare, and health education in multicultural settings.
