Tara PatersonDVM, MSc

Tara Paterson, DVM, MSc, has been on faculty at St. George’s University, School of Veterinary Medicine for the past 17 years and is currently an Associate Professor in the Small Animal Medicine & Surgery Department. As a member of the Charter Class, she obtained her DVM degree from St. George’s University in 2003, and later an MSc in Parasitology in 2011. Her responsibilities include clinical practice, teaching and research. Her professional and research interests include clinical parasitology with a focus on therapeutic efficacy, vector-borne diseases and small animal dermatology. She was the 2019 recipient of the Zoetis Award for Research Excellence at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine.
