    With over 14 years of experience in small animal medicine, Mrs. Renata Manbodh-Mitchell has built a distinguished career dedicated to veterinary nursing, surgical care, and education. Her journey—from a veterinary technician to a demonstrator at St. George’s University Small Animal Clinic (SAC)—reflects her unwavering commitment to learning and mentorship.

    Education and Certifications
    Mrs. Manbodh-Mitchell holds a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies (2010) from St. George’s University and a Master of Science in Bioethics (2024) from Clarkson University. Mrs Manbodh-Mitchell further pursued specialized veterinary training, earning a Veterinary Assistant Diploma (2012) from Penn Foster College and a Veterinary Dental Education Certificate (2018) from the Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Currently, she is advancing her expertise by pursuing an Associate Degree in Veterinary Nursing from Purdue University. She is also Fear Free Certified, demonstrating her commitment to reducing stress and improving patient welfare in veterinary practice.

    Professional Experience and Contributions
    Joining St. George’s University Small Animal Clinic in 2011, Mrs. Manbodh-Mitchell has worked across various areas of small animal medicine, with a primary focus on surgical and anaesthesia nursing over the past six years. She plays a crucial role in ensuring that surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and students have the necessary equipment and support for routine and emergency procedures.

    Mrs. Manbodh-Mitchell dedication extends beyond patient care—she serves on the Small Animal Clinic Board, advocating for continuous improvements in veterinary training and operations. Additionally, she contributes to the Feral Cat Program and assists in the Junior Surgery Laboratory on Spay/Neuter days, reinforcing her passion for community welfare and education.

    Mrs. Manbodh-Mitchell has cultivated a deep interest in research ethics and animal welfare, complementing her technical expertise with ethical considerations in veterinary science. Her experience in emergency and critical care, inpatient management, and surgical nursing allows her to inspire colleagues and students alike.
