    Dr. O’Brien is an Instructor at the Junior Surgery and Anesthesia Laboratory in the Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery of St George’s University. She attained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree at the University of the West Indies in 2018. Her professional interests include elective surgeries, anesthesia, internal medicine and oncology.

    Prior to her tenure at SGU, Dr. O’Brien worked as a small animal general practitioner in Trinidad and Tobago, where she was a regular volunteer at local spay and neuter programs. She was also a member of the country’s veterinary association, and assisted with public education, veterinary advancements and modification of animal-related laws.
