    Dr. Brenda Salinardi is an Associate Professor in the Small Animal Clinic and in the Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. Her interests include developmental and traumatic orthopedic disease, cardiothoracic surgery, and wound management and reconstruction.

    Dr. Salinardi received her DVM from Ross University in 2000. She completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Illinois, followed by a small animal surgical residency and master’s degree at Kansas State University. She became a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2005. After completing her residency Dr. Salinardi joined the faculty at Kansas State University as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Salinardi then joined the faculty at Oregon State University as an Assistant Professor until 2009. Following this she served as the Chief of Surgery at Tufts Veterinary Emergency Treatment and Specialties. She became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist in 2019. Dr. Salinardi has authored numerous articles published in the Journal of Veterinary Surgery, Veterinary and Comparative Orthopaedics and Traumatology, the American Journal of Veterinary Research, and the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association.
