Bio
I graduated from the University of Westminster in 1993 with BA in English & History. In 1994 I gained a Post Graduate Degree in Education at London University with English major. Whilst teaching English full time in mainstream education I studied literature & language in education at London University and was awarded a Master’s degree in 1997. Continuing teaching full time at college level, I studied education at Brunel and later Nottingham & Trent universities and was awarded a PhD in 2008. I moved to SGU in 2010 and started researching the value of writing to support traumatic experiences and alternative healing practices in the Caribbean.

- My PhD dissertation which is a focus on why there are students who are still illiterate after 11 years of education, is stored in the British Library which is a requirement of all British PhD publications.
